TOEFL exam Tips and techniques

Section-wise approach

The questions in the Reading section appear para-wise for each Comprehension. We advise you to take up the first paragraph initially and answer the relative questions that follow later. Then read the second paragraph and answer the questions that follow through. In such a manner, there will be less confusion and more time can be saved too.

The art of note making

Learn how to make quick, legible notes as you’re listening to someone speak. Use a shorthand, if necessary.

Standard Response Structure

Keep a standard essay structure in mind and dedicate each para to one heading, and understand that they do not necessarily have to be in this order.

Clear format

Dedicate the first sentence to stating the task, then state your opinion along with supporting arguments, and end with a conclusion. This way, you’ll have a format in mind, and won’t feel ambiguous when faced with questions.
